Vehicle Tag & Title Process
When a UCF department purchases a state vehicle, the vehicle will need to be registered, titled, and receive a yellow state tag or off-highway sticker depending on the type of vehicle. Procurement Services can assist departments with this process.
The department employee picking up the vehicle should complete all paperwork upon vehicle delivery, except for the title application and power of attorney form, which the dealer should give to Procurement Services to sign. Review our vehicle document signature guide to determine which documents should be signed by the department.
Florida vehicle dealers are generally responsible for processing all tag, title, and registration paperwork. All title and registration paperwork must use the following address:
University of Central Florida
12424 Research Parkway, Suite 355
Orlando, FL 32826
For the dealer to process UCF vehicle paperwork, a Power of Attorney form (form 82053) signed by Procurement Services is required. The dealer should provide this form along with the title application and any vehicle purchase documents to Procurement Services for review and signature.
Out-of-state dealers should send all documents to Procurement Services for processing through a local tax collector office. Upon receiving the appropriate documents, Procurement Services will obtain the vehicle tag, title, and registration for the department. The department is responsible for reimbursing Procurement Services via interdepartmental transfer.
